8th grade students are currently working on a PBL project called "Broken Laws". Students will present proposed laws for their peers to review and give a presentation on their proposed law or amendment, the issues it addresses, and reasons why this change is important. To help with their project research, SWO Criminal Investigator Woodrow Hawkins visited class today and answered some great questions regarding tribal and federal law. Senior Parents,
There will be a senior parent meeting on Thursday March 6th at 5:pm in Dr D’s English room. The agenda covers graduation, star quilt questions and cap and gowns. This will be open to the ALC and Good Relative program participants as well

The Department of Natural Resource Management at South Dakota State University is hosting a Natural Resources High School Program, July 21-25, 2025 at Oak Lake Field Station near Astoria, SD.
The Natural Resources High School Program is a great way to gain exposure to the world of natural resources, including fish, plants, wildlife, soils, invertebrates, and water. The program offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience in natural resource ecology and management. The program is intended for high school students entering grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, who have a strong desire to learn more about the natural world or who have an interest in pursuing a career related to natural resources. Permission of parent or guardian is required.
Possible activities the camp offers include Bird Banding, Lake Ecology, Pollinator Diversity, Camera Trapping, Archery, Radio Telemetry, Small Mammal Trapping, Reptile Trapping & Ecology, and Careers in Natural Resources.
Space is limited and admission is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lodging and meals are included in the registration. Registration is $300 and closes on May 31, 2025.

Lil' Wambdi Cheer Camp *Schedule Change* for this week.
SCHEDULE CHANGE!! To make up for last weeks missed practice, Monday and Wednesday will be practice for ALL of K-5. And please remember to have kids to the school lunchroom by 6 pm for another practice on Friday the 28th before our halftime performance. All students will be provided with a Wambdi cheer shirt, so please have them come dressed in black pants and sneakers.
