TZ middle school incentive trip to the Minnesota Timberwolf game last week. 💙🐺

The TZTS Moccasin teams traveled to Shakopee MN this weekend to compete in their winter tournament. One of our teams, TZ Boys, placed 3rd!
These boys not only know the significance of this game but carry our community and themselves very well. Andy Vig of Shakopee pulled them aside this weekend to thank them for how they carry themselves and how well they play the game. And for always bringing out the fun in it too.
Pictured l-r: Tokala SquirrelCoat, Roman Akipa, Mikey Peters and Dohapishum Peters.
Our other TZ team, Sica Hollow, not pictured was Tabawani Peters, Dusty Cloud, Dathan Wilson and substitute player Cokaya Peters from Toka Nunwan ☺️

Middle school is now on the road from the Timberwolves game. Estimated time of arrival at the school is 1:40 am.

Highlights from the HS Timberwolves game. We were able to sit court side to watch the players warm up. Students earned this trip by passing all their classes, great behavior, and awesome attendance! Our community would be so proud of how our students represented them and our school! Way to go students!

Mr. Dennis, our HS Math Teacher, created a video to showcase our HS student's tour of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. The campus is beautiful and our students were incredible. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vYvQSE8jhQVlzX7wL7hR9P0ioKz2DLDY/view?usp=drivesdk

Our first stop on our HS student incentive trip was the University of Minnesota! What a beautiful campus!
As always, the college staff were very impressed with our students!

National Hygiene Day.
Community Health Education (CHE) program spoke with MS and HS students about the importance of hygiene. Thank you for the education and hygiene products CHE!

Great to see these two students taking the time to review the Elementary attendance data! Regular attendance is key to student achievement and success. Learn more about the importance of attendance at Attendance Works https://www.attendanceworks.org/

TZ Bus returning from the Timberwolves game is about 30 minutes out. We had to go slower than expected due to ice. Should arrive around 3:30.

TZ high school and middle school professional development day with NTN on Project Based Learning! What a great day! 🦅💙

This week's Elementary APTT (Academic Parent-Teacher Teams) Night was a big success! Families and teachers came together to talk about student progress, shared ideas for helping kids learn at home, and build a stronger school community. It was a great night of conversations and teamwork. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend!
If you were unable to attend, your child's teacher will be able to share the information and you will be able to take home activities at next Thursday's Conferences.
We are excited to let you know that our next APTT Night will be on March 27th. Save the date and join us for another great event to support our students!

Congrats to Tiospa Zina for placing 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in the 2025 Dakota Oyate Challenge Language Bowl! All teams did awesome! Taŋyaŋ ečanupi!!! 💙🦅💙🦅

HS students are identifying living organisms characteristics and their phylum.
Some students also wanted to showcase the wonderful Mrs. Gem making a whoopsie during lab.
Thank you Mrs. Gem for your wonderful science experiments!

📢 We Need Your Voice! 🗳️ Help Our Students Create Meaningful Art! 🎨
Our middle school students are diving deep into history and citizenship through an exciting Project-Based Learning (PBL) project. They’re analyzing primary and secondary sources to understand better the motivations behind key movements and documents that have shaped the United States — from the Founding Documents to the Abolition and Women's Suffrage Movements, all the way to today's views on community and citizenship.
As part of their project, they need YOUR input! ✨ By taking a few minutes to complete their student-created surveys, you'll provide valuable perspectives that inspire three incredible works of art. These pieces will visually highlight the evolution of citizenship throughout U.S. history.
📋 Why Participate?
• Your insights will help students connect history to modern ideas of citizenship.
• You’ll contribute to the next generation's understanding of community and civic responsibility.
• It only takes a few minutes to make a lasting impact!
